Sometimes finding that right piece of music to write to can unlock a door you didn’t even know was there. Usually when I find a perfect song I will loop it for days, weeks, even months while I write. It might seem a little kooky (at least my husband has told me so) but it works for me.
Here is some of the music that I listened to while writing The Memory Painter:
Inside The Great Pyramid by Paul Horn
*This album was actually recorded inside the Great Pyramid in the 1970’s. Want to feel like you’re standing inside the Great Pyramid? Play Paul Horn!
Totem by Gabrielle Roth & The Mirrors

• Track 2 “Totem”
• Track 3 “Red Wind”
For the Bodhidharma chapters:
80 Minutes of Reiki Music by Reiki Tribe
• Track 1 “To the Heart”
Tibetan bells chiming.
*I can’t find the actual bells I listened to,
but these sound very similar.
Somewhere In Time, film soundtrack by John Barry
